Masahito Tsuboi (PI)

I started the lab in 2024 with a research project aiming to understand the predictability of macroevolution using wing morphological traits of Odonata (damselflies and dragonflies) as a main study system. My personal motto is "never give up". I am a passionate field ecologist, a big fun of the philosophy of science, a keen learner of statistical methods, an owner of a dog, and a father of two girls. I used to play violin and base guitar (I always want to play again).

Daniela Rossoni (postdoc)

Dani joined the lab in summer 2025. Dani's main project will address how integration and modularity evolve in Odonata (damselflies and dragonflies).

Nishta Rajan (MSc student)

Nishta joined the lab in spring 2025. Nishta's master project will focus on the evolution of developmental stability in wing morphological traits of Ischnura elegans. Combining field survey and experiment using RNAi, the project aims to elucidate the development of wing venation patterning in insects.
